One component, two very different duties
A video you record for yourself is one thing. The moment a clinician asks you to send one, it becomes part of a medical record — with a much higher bar for how it's stored, who may open it, whether every access is logged, and what “delete” really means. Same recorder either way, which is exactly why the storage path is built to meet the higher bar from the start rather than being retrofitted to it.
